GEOLOGY: CAPE TOWN TO BEAUFORT WEST ON THE N1 BY PETER ROSEWARNE

This article was originally prepared for the Cape Town members who were travelling to the 2025 Easter Gemboree. Peter then kindly undertook a return trip to Laingsburg a month later on 8th May, in order to update this article with Geoview/Geosite photographs so that it could be added to the EDUCATION section of our newly built website. This article can be read in conjunction with the sister article “The Great Karoo: Geology, Mineralogy, Groundwater, Uranium Mining and Shale Gas” also by Peter Rosewarne.
